This is the original photograph. I took this picture a year ago at a Linkin Park concert. I barely edited it, giving it an auto-fix and sharpened it's exposure and contrast.
In my first picture, I used a setting called Orton-ish which changed the bloom and brightness of the picture. This is my favorite one because it brightens the light on the stage, reflecting off of him which I think is very cool. I also like how the linkin park symbol on the drums is brightened as well and catches my eye.
In this picture, I changed the whole photograph and used a pencil sketch. I changed the strength and fade of the pencil sketch to show the emphasis of the singer, especially in his face and shirt. I cropped it to put more focus on him and by making these changed, I gave this picture a new truth.
Finally, I used a focus black and white edit, which made the whole photo black and white, except the area of his face. I cropped it a little but I wanted to get some of the stage and audience. Also, I blurred the stage and the audience. Even though there is more light and exposure on the singer, the blur on the audience gives them some importance in the picture.
By changing the colors, contrasts, exposures and other editing on the photograph, each picture has its own truth.
