blog 3

I photographed one of my roommates, Laura, at the water feature by the Easton Cafe. Here, I tried to get a photograph of her reflection in the water. It's a little blurry, but you can kind of see the reflection of her head in the shadow. I also like how a little part of the picture is shadowed and the majority is lighted by sunlight. I also think that the leaves give a little accent. This is also taken by the water feature. In this photo, I tried to get a picture of Laura while having the water feature surrounding her. It's as if you can't really see her at all in the picture because all you really notice is the waterfall. I kind of wanted it to be like a "Where's Waldo?" sort of picture.
I took this photo in front of the Castle. I was attempting to get an action shot of her doing a cart wheel. I tried to get it where the lighting was only focused on her, while the shadow of the trees were in the background. I also like how it seems kind of fuzzy.
This one is my absolute favorite picture that I took of her. I did a close up of her. When I look at this photo, it looks as if her eyes are twinkling. Her hair also looks really good in the picture. The flower just adds a nice little accent.
This photo was taken at the stairs of the Castle. I sat at the bottom of the steps and took the picture using a slow syncro setting on my camera. I'm guessing that that would be similar to using a slower shutter speed. The slower flash gave this photo a more yellow-orangey lighting. The light at the top kind of makes it look as if she blends into the light of the ceiling.
