
This shot was taken by a friend at a party, of our friend Ben. He's doing poi, which is spinning strings with small flammable balls on the end. He's in the process of trying to work with steel wool which is what is creating the sparks. It was an amazing shot and it was taken just because it would be a really interesting long exposure shot.

I love this photograph, taken during a memorial service for 9/11 in NYC. I think the artist took this shot to inspire, and invite the audience to mourn and remember.

This photograph of wildflowers on the San Andres fault line, taken by Zoe Strauss, is a photograph that
doesn't seem at all like a photograph, but rather a water color painting. She said she was driving through
California and couldn't figure out why the
mountain sides were these colors, until they got closer and
saw it was thousands of wildflowers. I think she took this picture simply because its beautiful.
