Blog #3

I am not sure what it is about this photo that I like so much. The different angle of the stumps makes it interesting to look at. I just really like the way it turned out!
This photo has a good use of framing, the stumps in the front frame the stump in the back and the window on my house. I also like how the front is blurry which draws your eyes back to the stump being framed.
I had depth of field in mind while I was taking this photo. The stumps in the front are more in focus than the one in the back. You can see more of a blur in the back, making the front stand out.
As I was walking around the stumps to decide how and what I wanted to photograph, I stood on the largest one. This was my view when I looked down. It is a birds eye view and I think it adds interest to the photo. I also thought that seeing my feet was unique because I was the one taking the photo and I could still be included.
This is just a basic photo of what I chose to photograph in 5 different ways. These stumps are along my driveway. I decided to just take a basic photo of them so that the viewers can see how they look if you were to walk down my driveway.
