Blog # 4-Why Photographs are Made

This is a picture of a 2-year-old pug competing in a Dog Surf-A-Thon in California. I found it to be rather humorous. It was a picture found on the website, but it was taken by a professional photographer. Knowing that it was taken by a professional photographer does not really change my view of the picture. I still look at it and laugh.

This picture was made to document history, but a different kind. My friend took a somewhat candid shot of me having my first coffee of the trip in Switzerland. This picture is not meant to be taken seriously; it’s just a memory of a really good time.

This picture was obviously made to document history. It is a very powerful picture, because it is such a significant part of history. It opened many eyes across the world, and challenged people to go above and beyond.
