Blog #4

This photograph was taken to remember the beloved Princess Diana. She was very involved with certain charity work. I had to read the article in order to fully understand this photo.
In the 1980's, people thought you could contract AIDS by touching someone or being around them. She was one of the first well-known celebrities to be photographed with a victim of AIDS and helped change people's attitudes towards the disease.

This photograph, along with several others, was the beginning of a new era in fashion. The model shown here is Lesley Hornby, also known as Twiggy. Before Twiggy, models were fuller-sized. Twiggy introduced the thin look and her trademark pixie haircut. Her look changed the face of fashion, and this photograph helped do that.

This photograph was taken for advertising purposes; specifically for the designer, Jimmy Choo. The photograph definitely catches your attention. There's something really empowering with seeing the model walk away from the burning car and being confident and taking the lead. I think that's a way to persuade you to buy the product(s)- because it makes you want to feel like that too.
