Hi. My name is Natalia Caballero and I am a freshman at Arcadia University. I am seventeen years old and my birthday is on November fourteenth. I am currently undeclared but I intend on being a fine arts major. I enjoy drawing, hanging out with my friends and family and watching television. I have high expectations for my first year in Arcadia University. I plan to study hard, get good grades and still have a good time.
ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Remy Hirai and I live in Dilworth Hall. I'm from O'ahu, Hawaii and I'm 18 years old. I'm majoring in Fine Art with a concentration in graphic design but i would like to do a lot of jewelry/metals as well. I currently am not involved in any sports or clubs on campus but I do intend on joining the swim team here at Arcadia. I really want to take weekend trips to NYC and into center city Philly (especially since there is like, no one on campus over weekends). That's about it.
ReplyDeleteHey, my name is Christyn Cecille Aborde. Cecille is part of my first name, it's not a middle name. You can just call me Christyn, Chris, or if you prefer to call me something else, that's fine too. I'm from Easton, PA, but I've moved a lot; mainly in Jersey. I'm a Bio/Pre-med major and am hoping to become a pediatrician one day. I really like taking photos of just anything (people, scenary, candids, etc.), but normally, I don't like being the one in the photo. I'm sometimes camera shy. I would love to travel all over the world someday. It's one of the many reasons why I chose Arcadia in the first place. Like everyone else, I plan on getting good grades and getting my diploma while still enjoying my college life.
ReplyDeleteHello my name is Andrea Weiner. I am a political science major, and hope to actually double major in photography as well. I really enjoy reading and listening to music. My outlet is photography, I usually go out at night, or dusk depending on what I want to take pictures of. I use a nikon D40 camera, and am in love with it. I live in Thomas hall, but am from Connecticut. With traffic it takes about 5 and 1/2 hours to get here. I love people and the city, which is why it is so perfect that I am close to Philly. I have traveled only because of a cruise I took, but I would love to go abroad and travel a lot. I am looking forward to this class, and getting to know everyone.
ReplyDeleteHey! I'm Katie O'Blosser (Kate). I'm a freshman and a Global Media major. I live in Dilworth. Travelling is an extremely huge part of my life. It's one of the reasons why I chose Arcadia. I wanted a school that wouldnt restrict me from travelling. I'm doing the London FYSAE program this spring. I find it hard to describe myself online, but I can try. I love spending time with people I know and people whom I've just met. I like to go on random adventures and do different things. I'm hoping to live in England someday...maybe work for BBC? who knows? My goals in college are to enjoy everday, take advantage of great opportunities, meet awesome people, and of course earn a degree and have great grades.
ReplyDeleteHey girls... And guy. I'm Katie Perkins, and that is my legitimate name. I have a lot of nicknames, and since there are so many Katie’s in this class, you can call me whatever you’d like. I'm from Staten Island, NY and I'm dorming in Dilworth. I'm planning on double majoring in psychology and photography. Photography is one of my biggest passions, which is obviously why I was interested in being a part of this seminar. I'm very outgoing and loud, once you get to know me. My dream is to be a counselor or psychologist for troubled teens and have my own photography gallery as well. I’m very happy here at Arcadia and I am looking forward to getting to know each and everyone one of you!
ReplyDeleteHowdy! My name is Laura Campbell. I was born in Texas City, TX and raised in Victoria, TX. I have lived in the south my whole life but have traveled to many states and countries. In fact, my first vacation was to Kingsport, TN to visit my grandparents, aunt and uncle at the age of sixteen months. My parents seem to have instilled a grand sense of adventure in me, hence my choice in major international relations. The reason why I have chosen this particular class is because I felt I could use my photography skills when I travel. I believe that every trip I have taken has been a great opportunity to see the natural world at work, experience a culture apart from my own, and relax. What better way to capture the trip of a lifetime than by taking a photo?
ReplyDeleteHi! My name is Vicky. I'm from Warrington, (about a half hour away from Arcadia) so I'm commuting... for now (I think it would be fun to live on campus and I kind of wish I do; but it is nice to have my own shower and kitchen and backyard... and I'd miss my little brothers!) I've lived in Phildelphia/ Philly suburbs my whole life, and I've never been outside the country, but I would LOVE to travel EVERYWHERE really SOON; I love cultures and people and stories and new places! I love to explore and discover, especially anywhere outside; bikeriding, canoeing, hiking, and just being in woods or parks or beaches brings me such joy! I'm an art major, deciding between printmaking and art history: I'm not sure to what end; I'll just wait and see where God wants me to go when I graduate. I'm a Christian, Jesus saved me, and I love him! I am so excited for this year; I can't wait to learn and experience new things, and I'm really excited about the new people I'm going to meet and the new friends I'm going to make... I can't wait to get to know all of you!
ReplyDeletehello! I am Mollie. I am from Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, which is right outside of Wilkes-Barre and about 25 minutes from Scranton. My major is Video Communications and so far I love Arcadia. I enjoy reading, photography, and swimming. I'm currently not in any clubs or sports at arcadia but i do work as a lifeguard at the Kuch Center. I use a Canon XTi and I'm pretty much in love with it. I am looking forward to this semester because I have never taken a photography class before and I cannot wait to learn more!
ReplyDeleteHello everyone. My name is Zachary Pierre and I'm 18 years old. I'm from Moscow, but not the interesting one, the one by Scranton. I'm currently undeclared but leaning towards an international major. A few years back I won some very small photography awards, but haven't touched a camera in ages. I choose to take this seminar because I want to reacquaint myself with photography.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Ashley Davis and I'm from Scranton,PA which is about two hours north of here. Most people have only heard of there because of "The Office". My new home is now Dilworth hall, second floor. I'm currently undeclared but working on majoring in interior design. I'm hoping my lack of really good drawing skills won't prevent me from that major but we will see. I'm kind of an adventurous person. I recently went skydiving and it was probably the greatest thing I've ever done. I'm hoping one of my next great adventures will be studying abroad. I went to Australia last year with People to People and I absolutely loved it there. I like to see new cultures and different people so hopefully I'll get that chance and do lots of traveling.

ReplyDeleteHello photo seminar class, and whoever else may have randomly found this site. My name is Ashley Hable. I have a lot of nicknames, and if you want you can give me one too.
ReplyDeleteI'm studying global media and spanish at Arcadia. I only live thirty minutes away from the school, but I commute, because I didn't want to live at home.
I love music, and I want to work in he music industry one day. I think I'll make music videos, but I'm not entirely positive what I want to do.
I'm pretty friendly, I love meeting new people, so feel free to introduce yourself.
I haven't used a blog since 9th grade, so this should be interesting. I hope you're all having lovely days :)
